Volunteers needed to plant Oak trees in Curtis Park, March 2, 9am-Noon

Hello Curtis Park Neighbors,
The Sacramento Tree Foundation is holding a tree planting event in William Curtis Park on March 2nd from 9 am to noon. We will be planting 15 to 18 valley oak trees as part of the Curtis Park Village mitigation
agreement. Please come out and help us get some more trees into our park. For more information and to sign up, please follow the link below. All necessary tools (and a portable toilet) are supplied by the Tree Foundation.
If you have specific gloves you like to wear please bring them. At this time the event is only open to Curtis Park residents and people are encouraged to bring their children to help with the planting. If by February 22 there are not enough folks signed up, the Tree Foundation will open up sign ups to the greater Sacramento area.
The volunteer release forms that are accessible through the link are required for participation in tree planting events. You may fill them out and email them or print and bring them. We will also have some available on site.

And Greetings from the Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association
We hope to see many of you at the event on March 2nd. As part of this mitigation, the Sacramento Tree Foundation has also planted hundreds of valley oaks in the Stone Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Elk Grove. As Curtis Park Village is built out, the developer will plant over 2,000 new trees in the rail yard.
Please sign up as soon as you can and tell your neighbors. We’ll see you on the 2nd.
